Safety Management System Course
International Helicopter Safety Team (IHST) has recommended conduct
of Trg capsules for helicopter operators on safety management system
(SMS) to improve the safety culture. RWSI is keen to have a course
conducted on SMS for the personnel of HAL Helicopter Complex also.(Pl
visit IHST website: www.ihst.org)
The next RWSI SMS capsule is scheduled to be held at Hotel Four Seasons,
Juhu Mumbai on 11-12 Dec'09. PHHL has had the benefit of having RWSI
conduct two SMS capsules (one in Delhi & the other one in Mumbai)
for them as they had sponsored it. We received "excellent" feedback
on conduct of the two courses from CMD, PHHL as he himself participated
in it. I am also forwarding the letter issued by Jt DG (Airworthiness)
& Head Helicopter Cell, DGCA dated 3 Nov’09 (attached) regarding the
need for all helicopter operators to have their operating professionals
to participate in the SMS Training to bring about a change in the
safety culture for improving safety of Helicopter Operations.
As there are only 25 seats available for the Course on 11-12 Dec’09
at Juhu Mumbai, you may detail key professionals from any stream (Engineering/Logistics
/Pilots /Commercial etc.) to participate in the course. The fee for
the two day course (lunch & refreshments) will be Rs.5000/- per candidate.
We are looking forward to receive the names of nominee by e-mail:
rotorindia@gmail.com / 0120-2536730, Fax : 0120-4352040 on or before
30 Nov'09 to help us organize the event.
