INCIDENT REPORT-  VT-RAJ STATE HELICOPTER - RCAC GOVT OF RAJASTHAN 20 NOV 11

On 20 nov 2011,on a VIP Flight with 3 passengers on board,The pilot immediately reduced the speed from 115 Kts to 90 kts and commenced descent after reducing Torque. The vibrations kept on increasing and the pilot reduced the speed further but there was no reduction in the vertical vibrations. All parameters were found to be absolutely normal.Since vibrations kept on increasing the pilot, decided to carry out pre-cautionary landing on the selected field near Pilani. As the vibrations were now becoming severe the pilot,continued with the approach and carried out safe landing on the selected site( Chandkothi Pilani 282530N 753009E) .On post flight inspection of Helicopter,One of the main   rotor tip was found missing.
