The Civil Helicopter fleet in India has recorded unprecedented growth from mere 185 during 2007-08 to 290 in 2008-2009 despite challenges in operating and fiscal bottlenecks. The rapid growth of the civil helicopter fleet has created a crying need for training facilities for both pilots and Engineers. There is a need for efficient weather reporting system, tracking and communication facilities. There is also a need for Public Use heliports with basic infrastructure.

On the Day 2 of the Seminar, there will be paper presentations & discussions on the Prospects & Challenges in Commercial Usage of civil helicopters in India by various stakeholders.

At the Inaugural Session of the Seminar on 20 March, besides keynote addresses, we propose to honour the civil rotary wing aviation professionals for their contribution to the Industry. When the Technical Sessions are in Progress in the Auditorium, sponsors of the Seminars will be given opportunity to present their Products & Services (including new helicopters, systems and devices for enhancing ops effectiveness) to the key functionaries of major users, corporate and present & potential helicopter operators at the Conference Room.
