Road Map for the indian Helicopter Safety
RWSI feels that there is an
urgent need for formulation of an Integrated National Aeronautical
policy that would take into account the short and long-term needs
of the Helicopter Industry. The policy, besides other regulatory issues,
may set in motion institutional arrangements that would bring about
synergies between civil and military helicopter elements, where feasible.
Areas of synergies may include common facilities for skill development
of pilots, Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and product support. The
Policy should also encourage development of vertiports /heliports,
where needed. .......More>>>>>>
Recommendations on HEMS and Development of Helipads / Heliports
Health being the duty
of the State towards every citizen, HEMS may be introduced first regardless
of cost for people living in remote, mountainous and population centers
where appropriate treatment is not available owing to lack of specialty
hospitals. Cost of ops of HEMS may be reduced by Govt subsidies as
it has been done in North East, A&N Island, Lakshadweep etc. More>>>>>>>
